100 Word Challenge Week 10

Lights, camera, action. Lights flooded the stage and suddenly the black, boring platform in the auditorium seemed alive. I seemed alive. Music started and a melodious, bright melody on a cello filled what seemed like a empty space, now a room full of emotions and feelings. I edged forwards on my seat.

All out of the blue a very bulky, muscular man strided onto the stage. A princess appeared up high in a castle. “But how did she get up there?” I wondered.

“I will save you!” he boomed.

“Watch out, there’s a dragon over there!” the damsel in distress cried in sadness.

The dragon swiped at him.

  1. I think this is your best piece of written language so far, Matthew. The beginning is absorbing and sets the scene beautifully.
You are using 'show not tell' in your texts. Continue to experiment with this. Well done.

  2. Matthew,
Your word choices are vivid and play on my senses. I could definitely hear the cello and envision the large man.
    Keep writing.
